Tethered (2024)
2024 Silver winner of the Tokyo International Photo Award (TIFA)
Though we may seem different on the surface, we are often united by shared experiences. This series of photographs looks into connection with others and the vulnerability that shapes our relationships. Created during a time when I longed to be with my family but couldn’t, the project became deeply personal. The act of bending wire serves as a metaphor—an attempt to hold them in my arms despite the distance. Rather than inviting analysis, the images aim to evoke an emotional response, encouraging viewers to feel the weight of connection, longing, and tenderness embedded within the work.
